Jay Shah B.Sc.[Hons.], A.N.C.R.T., Polymer Science and Technology

I am a Polymer Chemist and a Technologist with experience in Research and Development of Rubber Formulations and Compounding.  I am skilled in resolving problems associated with the manufacturing of rubber and plastic components. My expertise is in rubber formulations for Pharmaceutical applications.

If you are looking for a Specialist in Polymer Science, you've come to the right place.

I offer my skills in Research and Development, Technical Sales, Training and Teaching. I have a special interest in chemistry.

I am available as professional consultant, full and part time.

Professional Qualifications  As a professional in the field of Polymer Science and Technology, my positions in the corporate world have included those of Research Chemist and Technologist, Research Manager and an In-House Consultant. The specific examples of  expertise include:

Improvement of Product Quality  As both a Chemist and a Technologist, I have improved the quality by proper processing conditions of the compounds in the initial stages of production. Implemented the two-stage mixing, improving the rheological function of the compound producing homogeneous batches which led to lower rejection rates of the final product and improved physical/chemical properties of closures and improved customer/supplier relations.

Formulation of Rubber Compound   I have formulated rubber compounds to meet end requirements for both technical and pharmaceutical packaging products. Successfully developed chemically clean and efficiently working formulations for injection, flashless molding of rubber packaging components for the the pharmaceutical industry, and productivity was considerably increased  and it allowed the company to compete more efficiently in the market place.

Filler Promotion   Used my knowledge of polymers and their functions together with other rubber industry ingredients to promote fillers in foreign countries and thereby increased total sales in the foreign nations.
